AgilAire is a provider of air quality data management systems for government agencies and private industry, covering more than 70% of the air quality data provided to the public. Their revolutionary product, AirVision™, was still in development, but AgilAire needed to educate and inform the industry of their new technology. The situation was compounded by lingering mistrust generated by their parent company.

Challenge:

Create excitement and “buzz” over a product that was still in its early stages of development, and also to keep wavering AgilAire customers from leaving for competitors.

Audience:

Air quality environmental engineers.

Solution:

Develop a brochure that communicated three basic concepts in a way that truly excited the customer and convinced them that AgilAire was headed in the right direction — and would soon have available the system they had been wanting for years (as well as looking ahead beyond their current perceived needs). Reflecting the company’s commitment to the environment, this 6-page brochure was printed on recycled paper stock.

Result:

AgilAire maintained 100% customer retention, and reversed the move by one major customer towards their top competitor. The brochure was effective enough that when AgilAire announced a 6-month delay in the product release schedule, there was no concern. Customers said that if the product was going to be what the brochure portrayed, they were willing to wait.
